Spire (Salisbury)

About

SPIRE u3a meets regularly on the second Monday of each month at Harnham Memorial Hall. This meeting is the main point of communication with the membership and is free to attend. There is a donations tin but no obligation to contribute.

The monthly meeting opens with refreshments at 10 am, followed by news of activities and a talk by an invited speaker.

SPIRE u3a Newsletter, published 10-11 times a year, is distributed by email.

Small interest groups (IGs) meet in someone's home and members are asked to give their host/hostess 50p, or so, at each session to help meet any out-of-pocket expenses incurred. Where it is necessary to hire accommodation the cost is shared between participants. This also applies when sharing a car for group activities.

Tipple Time (on Zoom) and Coffee Companions (in various coffee shops) are IGs open to all Spire u3a members.

The annual subscription is reviewed at the AGM in April; currently £18.00. If you wish to become a member please enquire at a monthly meeting, see details of the Membership Secretary in the u3a folder upstairs in the Reference Library in Salisbury or contact the Membership Secretary.
